No pictures, but a couple of stories about Brady's latest obsessions - trucks and trash.
Brady's fascination with trucks really extends to all moving vehicles including cars, trucks, and tractors. Every car ride is currently filled with Brady excitedly yelling "Truck, truck!" as we go down the road, the frequency and excitement level of his exclamations directly related to the size of the truck. He was nearly beside himself when we passed a garbage truck this morning. In the evenings, Brady insists upon reading the same book about tractors before bedtime. Being female, I don't really get all of this. I try suggesting a cute book about penguins, or a nice one about rabbits, but no, he must have the tractor book.
Brady is also intrigued by trash and has become quite the helper with throwing things away including his own diapers, kleenexes, scraps of paper, etc. Occasionally his over-exuberance results in a few extra items finding their way into the trash can, lately including the wipes container and the clothing from a stuffed animal, but this doesn't happen too often. Today while I was fixing lunch, Brady took a plastic grocery sack from where I keep them in the kitchen and left the room with it. As I headed out of the kitchen to look for him and to see what his plans were for the bag, he promptly returned with the bag and the trashcan from his bedroom. We use the grocery bags as trash can liners and it was apparently time to take out the trash in his opinion. I helped Brady remove the trash and place a new liner in the trash can. Satisfied that the work was done, he smiled and promptly returned the trash can to his bedroom. Tomorrow I'm going to teach him how to do windows.
